The sight of Trump standing in front of Mount Rushmore is a bigger better version of him standing with a bible in front of St. John’s Church in Washington. A photo op signifying nothing. The biggest difference is that 75,000 unmasked people came to see him in South Dakota, crammed together, just showing the world how stupid people deal with pandemics. I could go on and on…

One line in his speech struck me as being particularly silly. I know the part about lefties messing with history was aimed at all the confederate hero statues being toppled, but gosh darn it, last year’s Presidential Fourth of July Speech had the British invading Airports in 1812.

I took out my trusty little Galaxy Note and drew this cartoon while eating my cereal this morning, excited to get it up on the Editorial Cartoonist website in time for the Fourth of July, sitting there for perusal from morning til night. No dice. Couldn’t get the site to upload it. I don’t know if it’s a technical glitch or maybe I bumped up against some rule about posting.

Oh well. It’s been that kind of day.
